| 08/15/2013 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Clarify the size of the water piping as it enters the building: it appears to enter the building as a 1-1/2" pipe, continues vertically as a 2" pipe, and then runs horizontally as a 1-1/4" pipe to the pipe chase where it drops down to below the mezzanine as either a 1-1/4" (on sheet P1.0) or a 2" pipe (on sheet P2.0). No branches are evident along this torturous path. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 2. The direct-connection of water to an appliance or device (e.g. a misting system) shall be protected against backflow. Specify the device to be used for the appliance connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.15, IPC 2012. 3. Verify that all of the vents located within the building rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2012. 4. The sand/oil waste collection system includes p-traps at each floor drain and at the outlet of the trench drain.
