Provide structural calculations for the mounting shelf for the water heater to show that the water heater will be safely supported from the building structure. Reference: Section 301.2, IPC 2012. 4. If the water supply to the water heater is connected to the side inlet of the storage tank, provide a vacuum relief valve. Reference: Section 504.2, IPC 2012. 5. Redirect the lasso for keynote 18 on the water piping plan - it calls out the size of the gas pipe but is connected to the hot water pipe. 6. Clarify the size of the gas pipe on key note 16 on the water piping plan. 7. Revise the size of the water heater vent: the specified water heater has a 5" draft hood. Reference: Section 503.5.5 (2), IFGC 2012. 8. Show that the installation of the water heater will comply with the manufacturer's required clearance to combustibles (12" from the top). Verify that the minimum height of the flue termination is 5'- 0" above the draft hood. Reference: Sections 301.3 and 503.6.5, IFGC 2012. |
