This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

PLUMBING PLAN:
1. Pressure and temperature relief valve for the water heater may terminate no more than 6 inches above the grade, P2803.6.1. Note on plan say 6' above grade.
2. The kitchen sink, laundry sink, and garage sink are not considered gray water fixtures. Adjust the waste layout accordingly.
3. Provide both gray water AND black water discharges from the clothes washing machine.
4. The Tucson Water policy adopted 7/13/12 limits the maximum demand for water meters. Specify the size of the proposed water meter.
5. Specify the maximum developed length of water line from the meter the furthest appliance served, and the lowest available working pressure after pressure loss calculation for elevation, P2903.7.
6. Isometric drawings of DWV systems are required for multiple story buildings.
7. Provide a gas line isometric and size the supply pipe for the connected demand. Include the length of line and BTU demand for each appliance, size of each branch, total demand, and total developed length from meter to the most remote appliance on the system, G2413.1, Table G2413.4 (1).

MECHANICAL PLAN:
8. Provide Manual J/S/D calculations for the forced air unit in accordance with M1401.3, M1601.1.

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
9. Specify faceplate grounding per E4001.11.1.
10. Specify tamper resistant receptacles per E4002.14.
11. Exterior outlets at grade level shall be provided at both the front and back of the dwelling, E3901.7. These outlets shall be GFCI protected E3902.3.
12. Provide floor receptacles at spaces in exterior walls occupied by fixed panels of glass so that no point is more than 6 feet from an outlet, E3901.2.1, E3901.2.2(2).
