In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. FLOOR PLAN: 1. Specify safety glazing in hazardous locations within 24 inches of the arc of a door in a closed position, R308.4.2. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 2. Specify the exterior wall covering, R703. 3. Specify roof slope, R905. MECHANICAL PLAN: 4. Provide Manual J/S/D calculations for the forced air unit in accordance with M1401.3, M1601.1. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 5. At least one wall switch controlled light must be provided at outdoor entrances or exits, E3903.3. 6. Specify tamper resistant receptacles per E4002.14. 7. Specify faceplate grounding per E4001.11.1. 8. Include subpanel disconnect on panel schedule. INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE: 9. Specify a "U" factor and solar heat gain coefficient of the windows and doors that meets or exceeds the requirements of N1102.1. The simplified prescribed energy value for climate zone 2B glazing is U=0.40 and skylights is U=0.65, the default SHGC is 0.25. 10. Specify the insulation material that will provide the prescriptive minimum value of R38 in the 9.5 inch ceiling space provided.
