This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Provide accurate code references on sheet 9

FLOOR PLAN:
2. Specify safety glazing in hazardous locations, R308.4. Less than 60" above and within 60" horizontally from tub/shower floors (garden tub).

PLUMBING PLAN:
3. Kitchen sinks are considered black water fixtures and may not be connected to the common gray water drain, P2601.2.1.
4. Provide both black water drain connection and gray water drain connection for clothes washing machine outlets, P2601.2.1.
5. Detail for island venting (Chicago Loop) does not show vent pipe and is considered a prohibited s-trap as shown, P3112.

MECHANICAL PLAN:
6. Provide Manual J/S/D calculations for the forced air unit in accordance with M1401.3, M1601.1.
7. Provide whole-house mechanical ventilation, R303.4.

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
8. Correct code references to the 2006 IRC.
