This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Correct all mislabeled references: o Sheet 3 notes 12, 15 o Sheet 5 detail 3 o Sheet 8 notes 1, 13, 14 o Sheet 9 notes 10, 11, 'power source' note STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN: 2. Provide sufficient roof support for the proposed storage structure, R801.2. ELEVATIONS: 3. Specify all building heights for storage structure. 4. Specify interior ceiling height for storage structure. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 5. Specify wall height above grade on detail 1 sheet 5. PLUMBING PLAN: 6. Clarify all plumbing layouts. Dashed lines for floor plan layouts makes plumbing elements difficult to distinguish, R106. 7. Provide the water meter size, P2903.7. 8. Provide water service supply line sized for the proposed demand. INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE: 9. Specify the "R" value of the insulation, as well as the "U" factor and the solar heat gain coefficient of the windows and doors. Tucson is in climate zone 2B. The simplified prescribed energy values for glazing and skylights is U=0.65, SHGC=0.40, ceiling R=38 and walls R=13. Mass wall requirement is R=4 when 50% of insulation is exterior and R=6 when applied interior, N1102.1.
