Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken.

SCOPE OF REVIEW:
The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Any architect and/or engineer involved in the design of the structure shall seal the related new or revised sheets of plans including details and calculations in accordance with the rules of the State Board of Technical Registration.

FLOOR PLAN:
2. Specify nonabsorbent cement, fiber-cement, or glass-mat board backing in tub/shower enclosures, R307.2, R702.4.2.

FOUNDATION PLAN:
3. Provide a note for termite treatment, R318 as amended.

MECHANICAL PLAN:
4. Show supply and return air ducts with a minimum R-8 insulation when located outside the thermal envelope, R1103.2.1.
5. Show dryer vent size and location for venting to exterior (max 25' w/bend reductions), M1502.2, M1502.6.

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
6. Laundry rooms require at least one 20-amp circuit that shall serve no other outlets, E3603.3, 3801.8.
7. Bathrooms require a separate 20-amp circuit with receptacles, E3603.4, E3801.6.
8. Bedroom outlets shall be protected with combination-type arc-fault breakers (receptacles, lights, and smoke detectors), E3802.12.
