01/04/2013 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Is water being supplied to the car wash?
2. Include all fixtures and the water requirements of the HVAC equipment (e.g. the evaporative coolers) when calculating the total demand and determining pipe sizes. Note that wash fountains with multiple stations are counted as 2 water fixture units per set of faucets (similarly, Table 709.1 in the 2006 IPC also uses 2 drainage fixture units per set of faucets). Reference: Section Appendix A, UPC 2006.
3. The water distribution calculations are based on a service pressure of 80 PSI which, according to Appendix A, UPC 2006 requires that the 80 PSI is the minimum daily service pressure. If so, then logically the maximum daily pressure must be in excess of 80 PSI and a pressure regulator will be required. Verify the range of the water service pressure and install a regulator if the water service pressure will exceed 80 PSI.
4. Provide tempered water for the wash fountains, P9 and P9A using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Section 416.5, IPC 2006.
5. Provide cleanouts in the building sewer at intervals not exceeding 100 feet (see sheet 11 of 18). Reference: Section 708.3.2, IPC 2006.
6. Provide sizing calculations for the overflow roof scuppers. Include the contributory flow from adjacent roof areas as appropriate. Reference: Sections 1106 and 1107.3, IPC 2006.

2. Clarify the size and termination for the condensate drain from FC-1. Reference: Section 307.2, IMC 2006 as amended by the City of Tucson.
3. Clarify the size of the condensate drain from FC-3. Reference: Section 307.2, IMC 2006 as amended by the City of Tucson.
4. Provide a design for the source-capture exhaust system for operating motor vehicles. Reference: Section 502.14, IMC 2006.
