Clarify the termination points for the T&P relief piping and for the drain for the pan under the water heater. The electric water heater detail does not appear to be coordinated with the plumbing plan with regard to the location of the water heater as compare to the location of the mop sink. In addition, an indirect waste receptor (e.g. a hub drain) shall not be installed in a restroom. Reference: Sections 106.3.1, 504.6, 504.7.2 and 802.3, IPC 2012. 6. Provide a vacuum relief valve for the specified bottom-fed storage-type water heater (A. O. Smith DEL-10). Reference: Section 504.2, IPC 2012. 7. Revise the electric water heater detail to show the installation of the thermal expansion tank. Reference: Section 607.3, IPC 2012. 8. Provide cleanouts for all horizontal drains; the cleanouts shall be sized per Section 708.7, IPC 2012 and shall open to allow cleaning in the direction of flow. Reference: Sections 708.3.1 and 708.5, IPC 2012. 9. Provide protection of the trap seals for all floor drains subject to infrequent use. Reference: Section 1002.4, IPC 2012. |
