This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN: 1. Specify the header or lintel size over the opening between the new and existing living room areas, R801.2. 2. Full height blocking or continuous rim joists are required over bearing walls when using engineered I-joists. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 3. Clarify the purpose of the vented frieze boards in a fully insulated roof cavity. PLUMBING PLAN: 4. Specify the developed length of the gas supply system, G2413.1, Table G2413.4 (1). 5. Clarify the type of water heater to be installed. Information for a gas-fired unit is included yet the descriptions says 'elect water heater' MECHANICAL PLAN: 6. Clarify existing mechanical system. The terms furnace, heat pump, and gas pack all refer to different types of heating units, M1302.1.. 7. Provide Manual J/S/D calculations for the forced air unit in accordance with M1401.3, M1601.1. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 8. Bathroom circuit may not share with the closet lights, E3603.4, E3801.6. 9. Clarify the existing electrical service conditions. Does the subpanel tie directly to the meter?
