This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. FLOOR PLAN: 1. Provide minimum clearances for plumbing fixtures per Figure R307.1. 2. Specify cement, fiber-cement, or glass-mat board backing in tub/shower enclosures, R307.2, R702.4.2. 3. Clarify how R30 batt insulation will fit in a 2x6 ceiling cavity. FRAMING PLAN: 4. Specify framing materials for shade structures on framing plan. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 5. Show the location of a smoke detector outside bedroom #2 area, R313. 6. Provide complete electrical panel schedules. 7. Kitchens require two or more 2O-amp small appliance circuits to serve countertop receptacles, E3801.3. 8. Laundry rooms require at least one 20-amp circuit that shall serve no other outlets, E3603.3, 3801.8. 9. Bathrooms require a separate 20-amp circuit with, E3603.4, E3801.6.
