Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken.

SCOPE OF REVIEW:
The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Include sheet A3 on sheet index.
2. Bathroom note on sheet A-1: Tile is not required in shower areas but if there is tile then cement or fiber-cement board backing is required, R307.2, R702.4.2.

INCLUSIVE HOME DESIGN:
3. Specify all switches, receptacles, and controls within 15 to 48 inches of the floor (To include thermostat controls), 1003.9.

STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN:
5. Provide lateral reinforcement for the face of the carport, R801.2.
6. Show both posts on detail 13-A7 and clearly indicate load transfer between posts and beam.
7. Provide updated registrant seals for unvented roof design or meet the prescriptive requirements of R806.4.
8. Provide uplift hardware used in its intended orientation or justify proposed alternative at rafter connections.

PLUMBING PLAN:
9. All construction drawings submitted after March 1, 2009 for one- or two-family dwellings require a solar water heating system, or future installation preparation with one of the following provisions: control and ¾"water piping; 3" metallic sleeve; or an accessible attic over the water heater. (electrical conduit must be accompanied by water piping)

OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE
10. Luminaries shall be full cutoff within 25 feet of adjoining property lines, OLC 401.3.3.
