Based on your use of the IRC, this review has been done using the 2006 IPC. 2. Clarify the water service to the building; is the triplex served by a single water meter and a single ¾" water service pipe or are the three units separately served with individual meters. If the three units are not separately served, determine the water demand and revise the size of the water meter and the main water service line to limit the water velocity to less than 8 feet per second (assuming copper or plastic water service pipe). 3. Show the location of the cleanouts for the new building sewer. 4. Specify lead-free solder for the water piping. 5. Provide calculations to show that connecting the new fixtures to the existing water distribution system will not overload the existing pipes (i.e. excessive water velocities or pressure drops). |
