| 10/04/2012 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Section R4-30-304 of the Rules of the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, states that a notation shall be placed beneath the seal, either written, typed, or electronically generated, that provides the day, month, and year of the expiration of current registration. (Effective March 8, 2008). 2. Given the temperature range of the water supply in Tucson (as high as 90.3 degrees Fahrenheit), specify how the instantaneous water heater that delivers a 41degree Fahrenheit rise to the lavatory faucet can guarantee a maximum delivery temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Note that the specified model for WH-2, unlike WH-1, is not capable of limiting the water temperature to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition, the minimum flow rate required to turn on the water heater is also the maximum flow rate for a lavatory. Reference: Section 416.5, IPC 2006 and Section 504.3, IECC 2006. See also, ARS Title 45, Chapter 1, Article 12 (http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ArizonaRevisedStatutes.asp). 3. Provide a waste and vent isometric to show the installation of SK-1 and EWC-1. Reference: Section 106.3.1, IPC 2006. 5. Coordinate the electrical requirements for WH-2 with the panel schedule. WH-2 draws only 14.4 Amps but panel B shows a 50-Amp breaker for it. Neither WH-1 nor WH-2 is 3-phase unit. |
