In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. FLOOR PLAN: 1. Specify safety glazing in hazardous locations, R308.4. Adjacent to stairways and landings (36" of a walking surface, less than 60" above) 2. Specify nonabsorbent wall surface minimum 6' above the floor with cement, fiber-cement, or glass-mat board backing in tub/shower enclosures, R307.2, R702.4.2. 3. Show the location of attic access min. 22"x30", R807. 4. The walls and soffit of the enclosed space under stairs shall be protected on the enclosed side with ½" gypsum board, R311.2.2. FOUNDATION PLAN: 5. Provide a note for termite treatment, R320 as amended. PLUMBING PLAN: 6. Show the waste cleanouts on building drain within 2' from the building, P3005.2. 7.
