10/12/2012 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Denied Provide a letter from Tucson Water confirming that a 1-1/4" water meter will be available for this project (normally, 1", 1-1/2" and 2" meters are available). If the meter is to be sized for a future demand of 100 GPM, a 2" meter will be required by Tucson Water; a 1-1/2" water meter is limited to a maximum demand of 75 GPM by Tucson Water.
10/15/2012 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Clarify the submitted water pressure calculations; the calculations show an allowable loss for friction of 7.2 PSI/100 Feet but the note calls out an allowable loss for friction of 28.3 PSI/100 Feet and refers to charts and tables from the UPC.
2. Provide cleanouts for all horizontal drains. Reference: Section 708.3.1, IPC 2006.
3. Detail 9/P-3 shows the installation of a flow control device for the 3-compartment sink but nothing indicates the installation of flow control devices for the other three fixtures that are connected to the hydromechanical grease interceptor. Show how the total flow to the hydromechanical grease interceptor is to be controlled or provide a hydromechanical grease interceptor with an integral flow control device. Reference: Sections 1003.2 and 1003.3.4.2, IPC 2006.
4. Correct the depiction of the vented trap for the 3-compartment sink in detail 9/P-3; the vent is to be located downstream of the trap to protect the trap. Reference: Section 901.2, IPC 2006.
5. Revise the size of the main gas pipe to conform to the size shown in Table 402.4(1), IFGC 2006: 459 CFH at 50-feet requires a 1-1/2" pipe. Reference: Section 402.1 and 402.3, IFGC 2006.
10/15/2012 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drains. Reference: Section 307.2, IMC 2006 as amended by the City of Tucson.
2. Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation based on Section 403, IMC 2006. (Note that Section 403.3, IMC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson also allows the use of the ASHRAE 62-1-2004 ventilation calculation procedure provided that the default occupant densities are used.)
