10/16/2012 CAGUILA1 PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied Comment not resolved; "flat venting" is allowed only when required due to significant structural problems. Note that the term "horizontal pipe" refers to a pipe which makes an angle of less than 45 degrees with the horizontal (Section 210.0, UPC 2006). Each vent pipe shall rise vertically to a minimum of 6" above the flood-level rim of the fixture it serves before offsetting horizontally. Reference: Section 905.3, UPC 2006. [Original comment: Verify that all of the new vents rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2006.]
