07/12/2012 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. State the plumbing code to be used for this activity. This review has been made using the 2006 IPC. 2. Coordinate the plumbing plan, P-2, and the civil plan, C2. The drawings indicate different entry points for the water service to the TARP Water treatment plant building and drawing C2 does not show the extension of the building sewer to the public sewer. Reference: Section 106.3.1, IPC 2006. 3. Show how the temperature of the hot water supply to the public lavatories is controlled. Reference: Section 416.5, IPC 2006 and Section 504.3, IECC 2006. 4. Clarify how the emergency eyewash and showers (detail EES-1) are provided with tepid water per ANSI-ISEA Z358.1-03. Reference: Section 411.1, IPC 2006. 5. Provide water pressure and water pipe sizing calculations. Verify that the eyewashes and emergency showers are supplied with a minimum flowing pressure of 30 PSIG. Reference: Sections 411.1 and 604.1, IPC 2006. 6. Show that the location of the reduced pressure backflow assembly serving the rooftop units is accessible for maintenance per the manufacturer's recommendations and has freeze protection. Reference: Section 608.14, IPC 2006. 7. Horizontal drainage piping shall be installed at a minimum slope in accordance with table 704.1, IPC 2006. 8. Provide cleanouts for all horizontal drains. Reference: Section 708.3.1, IPC 2006. 9. Provide cleanouts sized per Section 708.7, IPC 2006. 10. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole. If the rim of the manhole is not 1'-0" or more below the floor elevation, provide a backwater valve per Section 715.1, IPC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson. 11. Since fixtures other than floor drains, sinks, lavatories, and drinking fountains, are not permitted to be included in a combination waste and vent system, the floor drain in the restroom and the floor drain in the storage room are not part of a combination drain and waste system and they must be vented. Reference: Section 912.1, IPC 2006. |
