06/15/2012 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Clarify the basis for the ventilation calculations. The "zone & area" designations do not correspond to the room names on the floor plans - is this calculation for this building? Reference: Sections 106.3.1 and 403.3, IMC 2006. 2. The ventilation calculations appear to be based on ASHRAE 62.1 but they do not include sufficient information to be evaluated for a multiple-zone system. Provide the zone air distribution effectiveness (Section 6.2.2.2, ASHRAE 62.1-2004) and the calculations called for in Section 6.2.5, ASHRAE 62.1-2004. Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson. |

Reference: Section 106.3.1, IPC 2006. 2. Coordinate the power requirements of the tankless water heaters with the electrical drawings. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2006. 3. Revise the design of the venting for the new floor sinks so that the vents rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rim of the fixture being served prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2006. |
