06/22/2012 DAVID RIVERA ZONING REVIEW Denied Zoning has reviewed the building plans but cannot approve them on this review. While the building plans are in substantial compliance with the development package under review, zoning will have to review the plans on the next submittal to ensure that any changes that have been made to the development plan sheets are incorporated into the building plans where applicable.

06/28/2012 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Approved Corrected energy code compliance calculations received 6/28/12

Comment not resolved; Use the climate zone for Pima County < 4,000 feet for the calculations, not the Town of Oro Valley. The entry for Pima County can be found by selecting the "CODE" entry on the COMcheck tool bar; Pima County shows up near the bottom of the drop-down menu. In addition, the submitted envelope energy calculations show the exterior walls with cavity insulation of R-22.5 but based on the drawings, the cavity insulation should be R-19 with a continuous insulation of R-3.5 (1" EPS foam). [Original comment: Provide energy code compliance calculations for the building envelope; use the climate zone for Pima County < 4,000 feet (the Town of Pima is located in Graham County). Coordinate the construction and envelope components shown in the plans with those used for the calculations. Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the building envelope. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the SHGC for the fenestration.
