In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Clarify the carport support. Elevation views show a brick column and the section view detail a wood post. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 2. Laundry rooms require at least one 20-amp circuit that shall serve no other outlets, E3603.3, 3801.8. 3. Show receptacle outlets in the bedroom at wall spaces 2' or more so that no point along the wall (excluding door openings) is more than 6' from a receptacle outlet, E3801.2. 4. Designate the circuit number for each light fixture, receptacle, appliance, and equip disconnect on the electrical layout, E3603.5. 5. Specify the electric service panel size, E3606. INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE: 6. Specify the "R" value of the insulation greater to or equal to the prescriptive requirements or submit justified analysis. The simplified prescribed energy values for ceilings = R-30, N1102.1. Blown-in insulation is more than 9 inches thick to reach R30. Alternate insulation will be required for a 5.5 inch cavity.
