| 04/04/2012 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Clarify the intent of the design for the pumped discharge from the sewage ejector. Keynote 16 on sheet P1.04 refers to a 3" pumped waste connecting to the existing 4" building sewer but the plumbing plan shows a 4" gravity waste line instead of a pumped waste line. Also, how will the section of waste line between the full-way valves of the ejector pumps and the floor cleanout located in the truck service bay be cleaned out? [Original comment: Show how the 3" pumped-discharge of the sewage ejector connects to the 4" gravity drainage line. Reference: Section 710.4, UPC 2006.] 2. The vent for the ejector sump, as shown on detail 1/P2.00 is required but the vent shown on the plumbing plans does not connect to the ejector sump. The vent on the plumbing plan appears to be connected tp the pumped discharge of the ejector pumps. [Original comment: Provide a vent for the sewage ejector sump. Reference: Section 710.10, UPC 2006.] 3. Provide information from the manufacturer of the sand/oil separator that indicates that providing a vent prior to the separator and after the separator will address the original comment. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 1003.9, IPC 2006. [Original comment: Clarify the design of the venting for the oil/sand interceptors; why only one vent at the outlet when oil vapors can collect and be trapped in each compartment? Reference: Section 1016.3, UPC 2006.] |
