The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. FLOOR PLAN: 1. Show the location of attic access min. 22"x30", R807. 2. Provide impact protection for condensing unit in carport, M1307.3.1. FOUNDATION PLAN: 3. Specify termite control method, R318. STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN: 4. Provide layout reference in structural calculations for beam locations. PLUMBING PLAN: 5. Provide a water fixture unit schedule for the entire property (including existing) P2903.6. 6. Provide the maximum developed length of water line from the meter the furthest appliance served, and the diameter of the water service line, P2903.7. 7. Include the SRCC cut sheet for the proposed solar water heating system. MECHANICAL PLAN: 8. Provide Manual J calculations for the mechanical system in accordance with M1401.3. 9. Show combustion air openings for gas-fired appliances located in confined spaces, M1701.1. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 10. Show locations of smoke detectors (every sleeping room and hallways leading to). All smoke detectors must be interconnected with a power source from the building wiring, and shall be equipped with battery backup. When ceiling finish materials are not removed, existing bedrooms may be equipped with battery operated smoke detectors, R314. 11. Clarify the electrical riser diagram, E3607/8. Specify the feeder and conduit size from the service panel to the proposed subpanel and show the required bond to metallic piping, E3705.5.. 12.
