PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA plan set for the subject project and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal. Please provide a written response to each comment and include red line drawings with re-submittal. 1. Include the plan number "I-2011-019" in title block of each sheet. 2. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number "T11PI00014" on cover sheet. 3. Provide a cross section of the right turn lane. 4. Clearly indicate the limits of the sidewalk removal limits. 5. Place a note on drawing indicating that the owner of the property is responsible for the maintenance and blue staking of the onsite drainage facilities located in the public right-of-way. 6. Clearly indicate that the cross slope of the pedestrian crosswalk area in the driveway will not exceed 2%. 7. Clearly show how storm water flows will be routed through the proposed right turn lane. 8. Include in legend all line work used in drawing. 9. Sheet 3, Dtl. 1: Provide a detail or reference a Std. Dtl. For the pipe connection into the existing manhole. 10. Sheet 3, Del. 2: Provide a thickened edge for the proposed multiuse asphalt path and indicate that the minimum density for the subgrade will be 100% per SSPI 205. 11. Sheet 3, Dtl. 3: Curb access ramp should be based on Std. Dtl. 207 Sheet 4A of 5. 12. Sheet 3, Dtl. 4: Indicate the proposed lift thicknesses and mix # per SSPI 406. 13. Please submit copies of the PIA paving plans to the following utilities and provide this office with a Utility Plan Receipt from each of the utility companies: City of Tucson Transportation Department, Streets Division Tucson Water Pima County, Wastewater Management Qwest Communications Tucson Electric Power Cox Communications Southwest Gas Corp. El Paso Natural Gas* Kinder Morgan Energy* * When the above two utilities are not involved, a form filled out with the "RECEIVED BY:" line stating "not needed" may be submitted.
