PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA plan set for the subject project and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal. Please provide a written response to each comment and include red line drawings with re-submittal. 1. Include the plan number "I-2010-017" in title block of each sheet. 2. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number "T11PI0013" on cover sheet. 3. Provide cross section callouts in plan views for cross sections shown on sheet 3. 4. Clearly delineate and label the existing and future right-of-way limits. 5. If the future rights-of-way per the MS&R will not be dedicated with this development package, pedestrian access easements will be required for the sidewalk and access ramps which lie on the perimeter of the development. 6. Sheet 3: Show and label cross slopes and longitudinal slopes of the proposed bus bay. 7. Sheet 3: The existing grades shown along the north edge of the proposed concrete bus bay indicate that there are some dip sections and flat areas, which are potential areas for storm waters to pond. Provide additional construction details to ensure positive drainage along the bus bay. Additionally, the catch basin inlet may have to be modified to efficiently direct flows into the catch basin inlet opening. 8. Sheet 3, Pavement structural Detail: Clarify that the minimum dry density for the subgrade under the proposed PCCP is 100%. 9. Please submit copies of the PIA paving plans to the following utilities and provide this office with a Utility Plan Receipt from each of the utility companies: City of Tucson Transportation Department, Streets Division Tucson Water Pima County, Wastewater Management Qwest Communications Tucson Electric Power Cox Communications Southwest Gas Corp. El Paso Natural Gas* Kinder Morgan Energy* * When the above two utilities are not involved, a form filled out with the "RECEIVED BY:" line stating "not needed" may be submitted.
