2. Revise keynote #7 on sheet SP-1 to depict the actual conditions. According to the information on sheet P1.0, the "existing" gas piping referenced by keynote #7 on the roof is being installed as part of this activity.
3. Provide the sizing data (e.g. vent material, total vent height, and offsets) for the flue for the gas-fired unit heater. Reference: Section 511.0, UPC 2006.
4. Provide water pressure and water pipe sizing calculations. Reference: Section 610.1, UPC 2006.
5. Limit the water velocity in the copper piping to less than 8 fps for cold water and 5 fps for the hot water. Reference: Section 610.12, UPC 2006.
6. The branch piping sizes called out for the flush valves will result in water velocities greater than 8 FPS. Limit the water velocity to less than 8 FPS for the copper piping. Reference: Sections 610.12 and A 6.1, UPC 2006 and IS 3-2003, Section 2.6.
7. Provide upper terminal cleanouts on horizontal drainage pipes exceeding 5 feet in length (horizontal drain lines serving sinks require cleanouts regardless of length). Reference: Section 707.4, UPC 2006.
8. Provide cleanouts sized per Section 707.11, UPC 2006 (e.g. the 4" drain located downstream of the east water closet in the women's restroom requires a 4" cleanout).

SUMMARY: Engineering Division of Planning & Development Services Department has received the building plan (T11CM03892). Engineering Division does not recommend approval of the building plan applications at this time. The following items need to be addressed:


BUILDING PLAN COMMENTS:

1) Engineering could not verify that the building plan was in compliance with a stamped approved Development Plan Package for the proposed expansion. Please submit a copy of the stamped approved Development Plan, landscape, and NPPO plans with the next building plan submittal.

2) Engineering will re-review the building plan on the next submittal to insure compliance with the approved and stamped Development Plan. Additional comments may be forthcoming.
