02/16/2012 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | Comment not resolved; the drawing still shows diffusers located within 8'-0" of the center of the fan. [Original comment: The manufacturer calls for the diffusers to be located at least The mechanical ceiling fan shows several HVAC diffusers located within twice the diameter of the large ceiling fans which not recommended by the fan manufacturer. Revise the mechanical design so that the equipment is being installed in accordance with the conditions of its listing and the manufacturer's installation requirements. 02/16/2012 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Clarify what constitutes the complete natural gas system. Based on the model numbers for the rooftop A/C units on sheet M1.0, units AC-1A and AC-7 are the only units with gas heat but the plumbing drawing does not show any gas piping being connected to those units. [Original comment: Provide a design for the complete natural gas system (i.e. the AC units as well as the water heater). Include the each connected load, the developed pipe lengths to each load on plans. Reference: Section 402.3, IFGC 2006.] 2. Clarify which water heater is being installed; the specified A.O. Smith model BT-80 has a tank capacity of 74 gallons but the BT-100 has a tank capacity of 98 gallons. Both models have 4" draft hoods which precludes the use of a 3" connector as shown in detail H/P3.0. [Original comment: Show how the vent for the water heater has been sized, including the vent materials, the total vent height, offset dimensions, and the size of the draft hood on the appliance. Reference: Sections 503.6.9 and 504.2.2, IFGC 2006.] |
