2. Section R4-30-304 of the Rules of the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, states that a notation shall be placed beneath the seal, either written, typed, or electronically generated, that provides the day, month, and year of the expiration of current registration. (Effective March 8, 2008).
3. Either the Uniform Plumbing Code, 2006 or the International Plumbing Code, 2006, may be used for this activity (if the IPC is selected, then the 2006 International Fuel Gas Code will also be required). The plumbing General Notes on sheet P1.0 refer to the 2007 California Plumbing Code but the Code analysis on sheet TS refers to the 2006 IPC. This review has been made using the 2006 IPC, 2006 IFGC, and the 2006 IECC.
4. Provide plumbing plans for all of the new work, including water isometrics and waste and vent isometrics. Show the location of all required cleanouts on the waste and vent isometrics. Reference: Sections 102.4 and 106.3.1, IPC 2006.
5. Provide a detail of the water heater installation, including the termination point of the excess pressure relief, the size of the expansion tank, any vacuum relief devices, recirculating pump and valves. (Note that the location of the expansion tank in detail F/P3.0 is incorrect.) Reference: Sections 502.1, 503.1, 503.2, 504, 607.2, and 607.3 IPC 2006.
6. If the specified water heater is not supplied with integral heat traps, provide heat traps on the supply and discharge piping. Reference: Section 504.4, IECC 2006.
7. Show how the maximum mixed water temperature is to be limited for the shower. Reference: Sections 424.3, 424.4, and 607.1, IPC 2006.
8. Show how the temperature of the hot water supply to the public lavatories is controlled. Reference: Section 504.3, IECC 2006.
9. Water heaters with inputs of 200,000 BTUH or greater are classified as boilers and require approval from the Arizona Boiler inspector. Reference: Title 20, Chapter 5, Article 4, Arizona Administrative Code.
10. Provide a design for the complete natural gas system (i.e. the AC units as well as the water heater). Include the each connected load, the developed pipe lengths to each load on plans. Reference: Section 402.3, IFGC 2006.

The Mechanical General Notes on sheet M1.0 refer to the 2007 California Mechanical Code and to the California Energy Conservation Standards but the Code analysis on sheet TS refers to the 2006 IMC and the 2006 IECC. Screening of the mechanical equipment using the City of Santa Ana Guidelines is not required. This review has been made using the 2006 IMC and the 2006 IECC.
4. Specify the minimum resistance (R-value) of the duct insulation to be used on this project. Reference: Section 503.2.7, IECC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson.
5. Provide structural details to show how the 12'-0" diameter ceiling fans are being connected to this particular building structure and provide structural calculations to show that the building structure is not being adversely affected. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2006.
6. The mechanical ceiling fan shows several HVAC diffusers located within twice the diameter of the large ceiling fans which not recommended by the fan manufacturer. Revise the mechanical design so that the equipment is being installed in accordance with the conditions of its listing and the manufacturer's installation requirements. Reference: Section 304.1, IMC 2006.
7. Show that a separation of at least ten feet exists between air intake openings and exhaust openings. Reference: 401.4.1, IMC 2006.
8. Clarify the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fans, EF-1 and EF-2, to verify that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2006.
9. Provide calculations to show that adequate outside air is being provided to each of the different occupancies in the building. Reference: Sections 403.3 and 403.3.2, IMC 2006.
