2. Show the size and routing of the hot water return pipe noted in detail 1/P-2. (Note that detail 2/P-1 shows the recirculation pump associated with the water heater serving the restrooms.) Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
3. Provide floor drains in restrooms 201 and 202. Reference: Section 411.2, UPC 2006.
4. Specify insulation for any recirculated hot water systems. Reference: Sections 504.5 and 504.6, IECC 2006.

6. Verify the nature of the sink P-5; it is noted as a 2-compartment sink on the plumbing fixture schedule and a 3-compartment sink on the equipment Plan (detail 2/A3). In addition, it is shown in two locations on the waste and vent riser diagram.
7. Verify that the ice maker and the dishwasher do not require either a water supply or a drain.
8. Appliances (e.g. espresso machines, ice makers, etc) that are to be directly connected to the water supply system and do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Table 6-3, UPC 2006 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 602.3, 603.0, and Table 6-2, UPC 2006.
9. Provide waste and vent and water riser diagrams for the restrooms. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
10. Revise the installation design of the thermal expansion tank serving the two water heaters to eliminate the shut off valve between the expansion tank and the water heaters (The proposed design makes it possible to operate one or both water heaters with the expansion tank valved off.) Reference: Section 608.3, UPC 2006.
11. If non-high efficiency water heaters are installed per the alternate pricing note shown on sheet P-2, an alternate installation design will be required. Reference: Section 501.0, UPC 2006.
12. Clarify the water supply temperature for the water heaters. The water heater schedule calls for 140 degrees Fahrenheit but detail 1/P-2 calls for 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
13. Verify that a hot water temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit for the kitchen will be acceptable to the Pima County Health Department. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.

17. Provide upper terminal cleanouts on horizontal drainage pipes exceeding 5 feet in length (horizontal drain lines serving sinks and urinals require cleanouts regardless of length). Reference: Section 707.4, UPC 2006.
18. Provide cleanouts sized per Section 707.11, UPC 2006.
19. Provide a direct waste connection for the wash and rinse sections of the 3-compartment sink, with an indirect connection for the sanitizing compartment only. Reference: Sections 304.0, 704.3, and 801.2.3, UPC 2006.
20. The equipment plan calls out item #28 as a "vegi sink"; if it is a prep sink, provide an indirect waste drain for it (it is also called out as a hand sink and as a 2-compartment sink in other locations in the drawings). Reference: Section 801.2, UPC 2006.
21. Specify the type, capacity, and installation of the proposed grease interceptor. Show how the size of the unit has been determined. Reference: Section 1014.0, UPC 2006.
12/09/2011 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Provide the third-party listing information (i.e. not a cut sheet) for the proposed compensating hood, showing that the hood complies with the requirements of UL 710. Reference: Sections 301.4, 507.1, and 507.13, IMC 2006.
