This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Provide North arrow on floor plan. 2. Provide braced wall panel on west wall near pantry. 3. Locate braced wall panels in sections of wall that do not have windows or provide holdowns for alternate braced wall panels per R602.10. 4. Specify size of window in master bath. 5. Specify safety glazing in hazardous locations (master bath) R308.4. 6. Show the location of attic access min. 22"x30", R807. 7. Specify nonabsorbent wall surface minimum 6' above the floor with cement, fiber-cement, or glass-mat board backing in tub/shower enclosures, R307.2, R702.4.2. 8. Specify lateral support of masonry stemwalls, R606.9. 9. Alternate unvented roof design is not approved for use with asphalt shingles.
