10/06/2011 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Complete the waste and vent riser diagrams (i.e. include the kitchen sinks on the 2nd floor). Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
2. Revise the water pressure calculations to include: the pressure drop due to the presence of the backflow assembly; and the total lift from the water meter (12" below grade) and the highest water outlet (a shower nozzle on the second floor). Reference: Section 610.0, UPC 2006.
3. Provide cleanouts sized per Section 707.11, UPC 2006 (i.e. a 3" pipe requires a minimum cleanout of 2.5").
4. The rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole for the western building sewer (2461.25') is less than 12" below the first floor elevation (2462.13'). Provide a backwater valve per Section 710.1, UPC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson. Note that floors discharging from above the first floor shall not discharge through the backwater valve.
