12/12/2011 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Comment not resolved: "existing" means the objects have been installed and are physically in place. If the City of Tucson Transportation Department is going to install the water supply under a separate contract but has not installed it yet, it is a "proposed" water supply. The proposed sand/oil separator and trench drain will have to be installed under an activity number, obtained through the Planning and Development Services department. These items may be installed under this activity number a under a separate, future activity number. [Second comment: If the water service, trench drain, sand/oil separator, and sewer connection were installed under a separate contract, provide the reference drawings and the City of Tucson permit number under which the items were installed.] [Original comment: Provide a plumbing design for the wash bay, including the water source, the drainage fixtures and piping, and sand-oil separator plans. Revise the site utility drawing (C2.4) to include this structure. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006.] 2. Clarify the size and type of water distribution piping within the building. In detail 1/P2.1.5 a 3" ICW line enters the building passing through a backflow preventer and what apparently is supposed to be a booster pump system (the drawing appears to be unfinished). In detail 2/P2.1.5, a 2" DCW line enters the booster pump system and continues as a DCW after the booster pump system. The plumbing floor plan shows a 2" DCW entering the building after passing through the backflow preventer and then becoming a 2" ICW line. |
