RESUBMITTAL RESPONSE COMMENT:
1. Please provide all accessible code requirements based upon the ICC/ANSI 117.1, 2003 Edition on the designed interior elevations including all dimensions and vertical grab bars required by Sections 605.4.1, 604.5.2, 604.7,604.10.4, 604.10.7, 605.2, 606, 606.3 and any other accessory mounting height.

The spec sheet provided for the CPI Cabinet shows Panel IGP being fed from panel LP through a 100 amp Circuit Breaker. Sheet E5.1 needs to show the CB and the load for
Panel IGP in the schedule for Panel LP.

06/15/2011 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Comment not resolved; all structural calculations are required to be sealed. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304. [Original comment: Provide structural calculations for the mounting shelf to show that the water heater is safely supported. Reference: Sections 310.0 and 314.5, UPC 2006.]
2. The domestic water isometric diagram (2/P-3.1) appears to show the water closets served by 1" copper tubing. A flush valve delivers 1.6 gallons in about four seconds which is approximately 24 GPM. This results in a water velocity of 9.3 feet per second in 1" Type L copper. [Original comment: Clarify the size of the branch piping for the flush valves. Limit the water velocity to less than 8 FPS for the copper piping. Reference: Sections 610.12 and A 6.1, UPC 2006 and IS 3-2003, Section 2.6.]

06/15/2011 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Denied 1. Comment not resolved. The note on detail 1/M-4.1 directs the condensate to the roof drain, the note on sheet M-2.1 specifies that the condensate is to go to a roof drain but not to an overflow drain, and note #3 of the rooftop unit schedule calls for the condensate to run to the "nearest sanitary". According to the building shell drawings, the roof drains terminate into the parking lot and are therefore not suitable for termination of the condensate drains. Show the size, route, and termination point for the condensate drains. [Original comment: Clarify the ultimate termination point for the condensate drains. Condensate drains may not terminate over a roof drain unless the roof drain terminates at or above grade in an area capable of absorbing the condensate flow without surface drainage. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson.]
2. Comment not resolved; Section 403.3, IMC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson allows the use of the ASHRAE 62-1-2004 ventilation calculation procedure provided that the default occupant densities and combined outdoor air rates are used. In addition, revise the ASHRAE ventilation calculations to include an air distribution effectiveness value of 0.8 (ceiling supply, ceiling return, warm air greater than 15 degrees Fahrenheit above space temperature). Reference: Section 6.2.2.2, ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2004. [Original comment: The occupant load used to calculate the required ventilation is not necessarily the same as the occupant load used for calculating exiting requirements. The occupant load used for calculating the minimum required ventilation is to be based on Table 403.3, IMC 2006 or an approved engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type (e.g. ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2004 as modified by the City of Tucson amendments). Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2006.]
3. Comment not resolved. The structural calculations do not appear to have included "...the possible weight of personnel working in or on the hood." In addition, all structural calculations are required to be sealed. Reference: Arizona Revised Statutes 32-125, Board of Technical Registration Rules R4-30-304. [Original comment: Provide structural calculations and details to show that the Type II hood mounted over the ovens is supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.6, IMC 2006. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2006.]
