Special Application for Sign Variance

TRANSMITTAL DATE: December 8, 2010

COMMENTS:

The proposed sign within the Houghton Road 30-foot Scenic Buffer must be approved through the variance process. All existing vegetation that is disturbed in order to place the sign must be revegetated or new vegetation must be provided if the existing vegetation is not viable after removable.

It does not appear that existing or future lines of sight (sight visibility triangles) will be affected by either of the Houghton or Golf Links Road monument signs. Approval of the variance by Traffic/TDOT is required. Both street frontage monument signs must be placed within the existing and future property.

All other signs do not affect any zoning development criteria or development standards.
