SUBJECT: HOUGHTON ROAD AND GOLF LINKS ROAD, WALMART I-2010-019 T10PI00014, 1st Rev.

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section

Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA plan set for the subject project and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal. Please provide a written response to each comment and return red line drawings with re-submittal.


1. Sheet 1, Flood Zone Designation : Reference current FEMA FIRM panels.

2. Sheet 2, Asphalt Pavement Detail: Revise detail to show correct pavement thickness and reference PC/COT Standard Specifications for Public Improvements (SSPI) for compaction and testing requirements.

3. Sheet 2, Thickened Pavement Edge Detail: Revise detail to show correct pavement section thickness.

4 Sheet 2, Detail A/2: Revise detail to show proposed median Island.

5. Sheet 3, Houghton Rd. driveway entrance: Indicate the curb type for the south curb return and indicate the placement of a curb terminal section Per PC/COT S.D. 212 at end of the return.

6. Sheet 3: Label delineated Temporary Roadway Easement with recordation information. Additionally, submit a copy of the easement with next submittal.

7. Sheet 3: Provide Beginning and ending stations for the proposed guardrail along Houghton Road.

8. Sheet 8: Lighten shading for asphalt pavement so lettering is clearly legible.

9. Sheet 8, Accessible Ramp Sidewalk Detail: Revise detail to reference SSPI testing requirements.

10. Sheet 9: Indicate slope treatment for the cut slope along Golf Links Road.

11. Sheet 9: Include all lines used in drawing in legend.

12. Sheet 9: Provide complete storm drain details for all storm drain structures proposed in the public right-of-way in this drawing.

13. Place a note on drawing indicating that the owner of the property is responsible for the maintenance, repair and blue staking of the onsite drainage facilities located in the public right-of-way.

14. Indicate that all curb access ramps, except on the north ramp located at the Houghton Rd. driveway entrance, will have a vertical curb backstop placed per PC/COT S.D. 207 to restrict vehicular access.

15. Revise sheet numbering on the Landscaping sheets to be sequential with offsite improvement plan sheets.

16. Submit approved development plan with next submittal.
