BRC Comments Comments below are for the lighting modification & electrical repair resubmittal (9/7/10) for COT ID# 73 at 2433 East 22nd Street (T10EL00752). Sheet 2 of 3 1. There is no need for an additional panel and timer or 60 amp overcurrent protection on the customer-owned utility pole; in place of the previously existing disconnect, provide service disconnecting means per 2005 NEC 230.79(A), not to exceed 20 amps. Note that the previously existing panel on the utility pole housed numerous breakers, indicating that this service originally powered loads that were unrelated to the billboard and that have long since been removed. It is questionable as to whether the electrical connection to the billboard was ever permitted. 2. Panel Schedule: correct the volt-amp entries for Circuits #1 on the existing 122 panel and associated sums; based on the ballast manufacturer's stated input watts (231 watts per two lamp fixture (F96T12HO)) and the 125% continuous load factor that the EOR includes in the panel schedule, this figure should be no less than 577.5 v-a for that circuit for the light fixtures alone, plus an allowance for the timer; if otherwise, provide the calculations as to how the v-a entry was arrived at.
