Appliances (e.g. ovens, ice makers, etc) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Table 6-3, UPC 2006 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 602.3, 603.0, and Table 6-2, UPC 2006.
3. Clarify the design of the proposed patio misting system (i.e. are there any pumps capable of creating any back-pressure) downstream of the backflow preventer for the misting system. Reference: Section 603.4, UPC 2006.
4. Provide calculations showing how the water supply piping has been sized. Reference: Sections 610.4 and 610.5, UPC 2006.
5. Clarify the location of the reduced pressure backflow preventer for the make up air system to show that it conforms to the access and clearance requirements of Section 603.3.4, UPC 2006.
6. Revise the call-out for the temperature mixing valve for the lavatory (sheet P2.0) from "Note-6" to "Note-5".
7. The branch piping size called out for the urinal flush valve will result in water velocities greater than 8 FPS. Limit the water velocity to less than 8 FPS for the copper piping. Reference: Sections 610.12 and A 6.1, UPC 2006 and IS 3-2003, Section 2.6.
8. Verify that the size of the floor drains and floor sinks have not been increased to the point that their traps are no longer self-scouring. Reference: Section 703.1 and footnotes 1 and 7, Table 7-3, UPC 2006.
9. Provide a direct waste connection for the wash and rinse sections of the 3-compartment sink, with an indirect connection for the sanitizing compartment only. Reference: Sections 304.0, 704.3, and 801.2.3, UPC 2006.
10. Provide upper terminal cleanouts on horizontal drainage pipes exceeding 5 feet in length (horizontal drain lines serving sinks and urinals require cleanouts regardless of length). Reference: Section 707.4, UPC 2006.

15. Provide a vent for the grease interceptor. Reference: Section 1009.4, UPC 2006.
16. Provide calculations to show that the proposed grease interceptor has been sized per Section 1014.3.6, UPC 2006.
17. If the contractor determines that the proposed grease interceptor can be relocated as stated in plumbing note #2 on sheet P1.0, revised plans, provided by the engineer of record, shall be submitted for review by the City of Tucson. Reference: Sections 103.2.2 and 103.2.3, UPC 2006.
