Show that the installation of the three Type I hoods complies with Section 507.9, IMC 2006 for clearances (i.e. the construction of all walls within 18" of the hoods comply with the requirements of Section 507.9, IMC 2006). |

Permission to use a single gravity grease interceptor to serve multiple business establishments requires an appeal to the building official. Reference: sections 301.2 and 1014.3.4.3, UPC 2006. 5. Comment not resolved; the maximum capacity of a 3" building drain is 35 fixture units. The grease interceptor calculation indicates 99 fixture units being connected to the existing grease interceptor with 38 fixture units coming from the new restaurant. The maximum number of fixture units that can be accommodated by a 3" pipe is 35 fixture units. The drawing also indicates that the existing grease interceptor has a 3" inlet.
