This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Provide two copies of the corrected set of drawings and one set of the first submission for reference. All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Pencil and/or white out on final prints will not be acceptable. To expedite review, please cloud the originally submitted set with red ink and limit clouding on final set. Ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. FLOOR PLAN: 2. Revise shower wall covering note to reflect the currently adopted code. Excerpt provided (702.4.2) is from the 2003 IRC. Water-resistant gypsum is no longer acceptable. STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN: 3. Specify all header sizes consistent with Table 502.5(1) or specify size of steel lintels. SECTIONS - DETAILS: 4. Ceiling gypsum board must be either 5/8" or ½" sag resistant when applied to ceilings framed at 24" o/c, IRC table R702.3.5 footnote d. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 5. Provide legible cut sheet information regarding whirlpool bathtub. 6. Provide gfci protected receptacle to serve whirlpool bathtub and access panel, E4109. INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE: 7.
