SUMMARY: The Cricket antennae & cabinet plans at this site were submitted to the City of Tucson for review. It is understood that this project will consist of upgrading communications equipment. The project is located in a regulatory floodplain FIRM 040076-1639K Navajo Wash flood area which is a FEMA Zone AE Special Flood Hazard Area. Planning & Development Services Department PDSD Engineering has reviewed the received items and does not recommend approval of the plan/permit without addressing the following comments.

PLAN COMMENTS:
1) DS Sec.10-02.2.2.5: Floodplain Use Permit is required for this project. Submit City of Tucson's Floodplain Use Permit Application.
2) DS Sec.10-02.2.1.3: Provide a drainage statement that addresses the following comments in the statement and on the plans:
a) On sheet T-1, there is a statement that the Pinal County Flood Control District approved the flood depth. Please clarify/correct PCRFCD name to Pima County.
b) DS Sec.10-02.2.1.3: Provide documentation showing base flood depth from regional flood control district as noted on plans.
c) Tucson Code Sec. 26-11.2(a)(1): The foundation top of slab elevation was indicated as 2343.95. The datum for the water surface elevation and FFE of the pad foundation shall be the same; indicate datum for cabinet foundation pad elevation and 100-year flood WSEL.
d) Tucson Code 26-5.2(11): The cabinet structure upgrades are subject to minimum FFE elevations. Show floodproofing for the structure on the plans if the cabinets are below 100-yr WSEL.
3) Add note to sheet C-3 that: no new electrical equipment shall be placed below Regulatory Flood Elevation (which is 1-foot above the 100-year water surface elevation).

It will be necessary to provide the floodplain use permit application with resubmittal. Please address all comments prior to resubmittal and if you have questions, call me at 837-4934.
