07/21/2010 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Clarify the layout and direction of flow for the building drains. The submitted model plans do not agree with the proposed tenant improvement and the site plan for the current project. 2. Revise the site drawing to show the route, cleanout locations, and the slope of the building sewers. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 3. Clarify the layout of the waste piping in the new restroom. Water closet P1A appears to have a trap arm running to the stack behind water closet P1 as well as having a trap arm, vent, and drain line running north to an existing 4" drain. 4. Both urinals (P2) and the new floor drain (P9) appear to require an additional cleanout due to their circuitous drain piping; an additional clean out is required whenever the aggregate horizontal change in direction exceeds 135 degrees. Reference: Section 707.5, UPC 2006. (Two notes regarding the drain piping for these fixtures on detail 2/P4 are in error: "CONN. 2"S TO EXIST. 4" S". A 4" wall cleanout is located upstream of the junction of the new and existing drain pipes.) |
