This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2006 International Residential Code, 2005 National Electrical Code and Arizona Revised Statutes. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or a finished reproducible set. Return two sets along with a set of the first submission for reference. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. (Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions). Incorporate changes on originals and provide two copied sets for review. All engineers and architects involved in the design of the structure are to seal the related sheets of plans, details and calculations in accordance with the rules of the State Board of Technical Registration. STRUCTURAL PLANS: 1. Provide complete roof framing information for determining load carrying capacity of each structure supporting a collector group. Show size, spacing and span of all framing members including trusses, joists, rafters and beams. Show all load bearing locations. Demonstrate the ability for supporting the existing and additional dead load along with a 20 PSF live load R301.1. Rafters are over spanned. DIAGRAMS / CALCULATIONS 1. Revise the Maximum Photovoltaic System Voltage calculation (Voc x 1.13) NEC 690.7 and Table 690.7 (16 degrees F). Remove the 2x multiplier (Line drawing calc) since the two arrays are connected in parallel. This will then show the inverter with a capacity for functioning with the possible voltage. NOTES / SPECIFICATIONS 1. Provide the exact wording and location for the DC Power Source "Imp, Vmp, Vmax, Isc" marking required by NEC 690.53. 2. Provide the exact wording and locations for any plaques which may be required for non co-located disconnects (inverter) by NEC 690.56 (B). 3. Provide the location for the "backfed" circuit breaker in compliance with NEC 690.64 (B) (5).
