The 1" pipe size serving the flush valve for the water closet in restroom 102 (on the domestic water piping schematic) will result in water velocities greater than 8 FPS. Limit the water velocity to less than 8 FPS for the copper piping. Reference: Sections 610.12 and A 6.1, UPC 2006 and IS 3-2003, Section 2.6.
2. Confirm the water calculations; the calculations indicate that the water meter has moved closer to the building since the shell was constructed.
3. Provide a vacuum relief for the storage-type water heater located above the fixture outlets. Reference: Section 608.7, UPC 2006.
4. Provide pressure-absorbing devices for the water connections to appliances equipped with quick-acting or solenoid valves. Reference: Section 609.10, UPC 2006.
