SUMMARY: PDSD Engineering Division met with consultant and owner to go over remaining items for grading plan review 15DEC10. Engineering has reviewed the grading plan resubmittal for the QuikTrip #1487 and recommends approval of the grading permit T10BU01739. Any outstanding fees, along with reseeding bond (reseeding: $3,419.45) is required at, or prior to, picking up Grading Permit.

GRADING PERMIT CONDITONS
The following 9 conditions apply to grading permit T10BU01739:
1) Call for Pre-construction meeting. Discuss during Pre-con or contact PDSD Engineering Inspector to confirm which grading inspections may be needed. For a PDSD Engineering Inspection, call IVR (740-6970), or schedule with a Customer Service Representative at Planning & Development Services Department (PDSD), or contact PDSD Engineering at 837-4888, or schedule inspections online at: http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Online_Services/Online_Permits/online_permits.html
2) Grading and drainage construction shall conform to Site Improvement Plan for QuikTrip Store #1487 (sealed by David Little, P.E. on 12.21.10), project's geotechnical report and the Supplemental Geotechnical statement (Kleinfelder File No.110782, sealed 12/17/10 by Ramon Padilla, P.E.), and Drainage Statement for QuikTrip Store #1487 (prepared by WLB David Little, P.E., sealed 8.11.10).
3) A copy of stamped approved grading plans, permits, and reports shall be kept at site at all times, until final grading approval.
4) Separate building permit applications / reviews are required for any walls.
5) Call for inspection during subsurface construction of drainage systems. Field reports verifying depths are required to be submitted to the City.
6) Prior to construction of the building, basin shall be filled with water several times as the 5 to 11 feet of structural fill for building pad is being placed, per geotechnical engineering recommendations. Call for Geotechnical Engineering inspections and PDSD Engineering inspections during basin water filling.
7) Temporary erosion/sediment control shall be located within grading limits.
8) Work in the public right of way requires an excavation permit and/or may require a private improvement agreement. Check with City of Tucson Department of Transportation Permits and Codes for additional information.
9) As-builts are required to be submitted under activity number T10BU01739 to PDSD permit clerks. They will be reviewed and then if acceptable, a copy will be provided to PDSD Engineering Inspector for final grading inspections. For Permit Project Closure documentation, submit: 2 copies of as-built final revised grading plans, field reports for depth of drainage structures, geotechnical field reports for basin / building pad construction, and project's substantial completion statement letter(s).
