The Grading Plan (GP) cannot be approved as submitted. Please address the following review comments prior to the next submittal.

Grading Plan:
1. Please include a response letter to the comments along with the corrected copies of the GP.
2. For detailed comments regarding accessibility, see the City of Tucson H/C folder.
3. Show details of all surface and subsurface drainage devices. Detail both of the rip-rap splash pads, the lengths, shapes, etc should be shown on the plans. Per previous comment.
4. The drainage report indicates that a weir will be used to detain stormwater at the north end of the basin. Show the weir on the plan view and provide a detail as it shown in the drainage report.
5. Call-out the spacing and quantity of the post barricades on the 15' long depressed curb.
6. At the South end of the street, key note no. 4 calls out for a curb terminal section. If the curb ends there, what prevents the vehicles from driving onto the dirt area? Address as required.
7. Wheelchair ramps on both sides of the street and a painted crosswalk are required at the location where the sidewalk ends adjacent to the rip-rap splash pad on the East side of the basin.

07/29/2010 RONALD BROWN HC REVIEW Denied The following accessibility review is as per the 2006 IBC, Chapter 11 and is based upon the accessibile code requirements of ICC (ANSI 117.1 2003 Edition)
1. Please provide a marked crossing at the South end of the Rip Rap Splash Pad located on the West side of the main entrance road. The marked crossing will connect the concrete accessible routes and provide a direct and shorter accessible route to the accessible entrance to the new building.
a. Provide all marked crossings, ramps, detetcable warning strips, slopes and etc as required by ICC (ANSI 117.1), Sections 106, 402, 406.12, 406.14 and 705.5.
2. Redistribute the six accessible parking spaces around the site; 2 where shown, 2 at the parking island and 2 at the extended West parking lot.
a. Provide all required access to the accessible route for all accessible parking spaces.
b. Provide at least one "Van Accessible" parking space.
3. Delete the two detectable warning strips at the grouped accessible parking spaces. These are not required.
4. Delete the two detectable warning strips on either side of the landing at the West end of the marked crossing located at the front entrance to the new building.
a. Please provide one 2' deep detectable warning strip as wide as the marked crossing in the concrete landing just at the edge of the asphaltic paving.
5. Identify all accessible routes and their compliance with ICC (ANSI 117.1), Section 403.3.
6. Provide a passenger loading zone at the circular drive in front of the new building to comply with 2006 IBC, Section 1106.7 and ICC ANSI 117.1), Section 503.
7. Delete the detectable warning strip located in the accessible route ramp just East of the fire lane.
8. Please provide large scale details of all different types of accessible parking groups, ramps and accessible parking signage. Show loaction of signage on the site plan
