Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan; therefore a revised PIA Plan is required for re-submittal. The following items must be revised or added to the plan.

1. Include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed.

2. See redlines on the submitted drawings and address the additional redline comments. During the next submittal please re-submit the roll of redlines for back checking purposes.

3. Install street name signs at the proposed roadway intersections per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 5-11, 5-12, and Chap 9-2.

4. Place the PIA Case number on the cover sheet.

5. Add the following Signing General Notes 5(a) & 5(b) per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) (Chapter 1, Sheet 12) to the Plans.

6. Add the following Pavement Marking/Striping General Notes to the Plans:

'ALL STREET SIGNAGE TO BE COORDINATED WITH C.O.T. TRAFFIC ENGINEERING CALL 791-4259 A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL OF ANY SIGNAGE OR STRIPING. ALL REQUIRED SIGNAGE WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.. USE 2" SQUARE-TUBE POST AND SQUARE TUBE POST FOUNDATIONS FOR SIGNING.

'ALL NON-SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION STREET NAMES MUST HAVE E-W BLOCK NUMBER ADDRESSES FOR E-W ROADWAYS AND N-S BLOCK NUMBER ADDRESSES FOR N-S ROADWAYS.'

SUBJECT: Mountain Vail Estates, Part "C", Public Improvements, PIA T09PI0011

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal.

1. Include the plan number "I-2009-010" in title block of each sheet.

2. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number "T09PI00011"on cover sheet.

3. Sheet 3, Detail 1/3: Indicate proposed roadway cross slope.

4. Sheet 3, Detail 2/3: Indicate proposed roadway cross slope.

5. Sheet 3, Detail 5/3: Indicate a minimum 5'x 5' landing for the proposed ramps

6. Sheet 4, Detail 5/4: Delineate Right-of-Way.

7. Sheet 4, Detail 7/4: Indicate proposed roadway cross slope.

8. Sheet 4, Detail 7/4: Provide additional cross section, plan view and clarify details of catch basin top.

9. Clearly show where the project's construction will end at Atterbury Was Way

10. Provide post barricades and appropriate signage where the pavement terminates for subdivision phasing to restrict vehicular traffic.

11. Placement of private irrigation facilities within the right-of-way will require a private utility easement. Please contact the COT Real Estate Division for information on acquiring an easement. Additionally, private irrigation facilities must meet COT adopted standards. Note the following requirements to any proposed irrigation in the right-of way.

q Schedule 80 sleeving.
q Marking tape.
q Minimum 18" depth.
q Mark/stamp on curb - IS (Irrigation System) and/or placard at back of curb
q Sleeves must be in a recorded easement (easement width is dependent on what is needed for installation and/or repairs).
q Sleeve should extend beyond the right-of-way (into private property), unless otherwise approved by TDOT.

12. Verify that a 2' minimum set back is provided from the hinge point of any cut and fill slope on private property and the property line (City of Tucson Development Standard 11-09.0).

13. Add the following notes to the General Storm Drain Notes:

q Drainage pipe shall conform to PC/COT SSPI Section 501or as directed by the engineer.
q Pipe bedding shall conform to PC/COT Standard Detail 108.

14. Provide barricade railing along the right-of-way of any slope steeper than 4:1 and deeper than two (2) feet. Note ending and beginning of any proposed barricade railing.

15. Verify that the cross slopes for pedestrian cross walk areas does not exceed 2%.
