It is understood that this solid waste landfill per state and federal regulations and will consist of grading the top of the landfill to provide a smooth surface with a 2-foot thick cap of soil, covering with drought resistant vegetation to minimize erosion, and providing post construction monitoring systems. Planning & Development Services Department PDSD Engineering has reviewed the received items and recommends approval of the floodplain use permit application and grading plan. The following conditions apply to the grading permit: CONDITIONS OF GRADING PERMIT: 1) There shall be no disturbance outside of these approved grading limits. 2) Stormwater shall be prevented from entering and possibly causing ponding/infiltration within the landfill boundary. 3) Any grading outside of the grading limits requires separate grading permit or a submittal, review, and approval for separate permits. 4) Submit copies of Geotechnical / Soils Reports or other closure completion documentation to PDSD for final reports. 5) A SWPPP submittal/review/approval is required prior to commencement of construction. 6) A copy of this plan with grading permit, SWPPP, and supplemental reports shall be kept at the site at all times, until final grading approval. 7) Call to invite Jim Femling/Elizabeth Leibold to EPA pre-construction meeting. Also, call to see if a SWPPP inspection and Grading Pre-construction meeting will be required.
