An office space is identified by ASHRAE 62.1-2004 as having low contaminant concentration, low sensory-irritation intensity and inoffensive odor (Section 5.17.1 and Table 6-1). In addition, your calculations show less than one person being in each exam room. A more appropriate category for a dental exam room as shown in Table 6-1 may be a "Pharmacy (prep. area)". Provide justification for the use of the ventilation rate for "office space" for exam rooms having medical gas service. Reference: Sections 106.3.1 and 403.3, IMC 2006 and Section 6.1.1 and footnote 6, Table 6-1, ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2004.
