The expansion tank shall have no check valves between it and the water heater. 3. Section 1101.11.2.1, UPC 2006 calls for the scupper to have a minimum width equal to the circumference of the required roof drain as determined with Table 11-1, UPC 2006. The minimum scupper height shall be 4". (The policy for the City of Tucson will allow the scupper to also serve as an overflow if the scupper height is increased to 6".) If you wish to use a circular scupper, submit an appeal to the building offical and provide the calculations that show it will have performance at least equivalent to the code-minimum scupper. 4. Clarify the "concealed internal temperature control mixer", i.e provide the ASSE listing for the device. |
