| 10/19/2009 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Sheet P1 indicates a 1-1/4" water service to the buildings but sheet P2 shows a 1" water service to the buildings. Clarify the size of the water service pipe. 2. Tucson Water does not provide ¾" water meters; only 5/8" meters. Correct the meter size on the drawings and include the correct pressure drop due to the meter on the water pressure calculations. 3. Comment not addressed. Clarify how the storm water draining from the scuppers on the south side of the suite is to be diverted away from the building foundations. Reference: 103.2.3, UPC 2006 and Section 1803.3, IBC 2006. 4. Comment not addressed. The eastern scupper of this suite is shown as handling approximately 148 square feet of roof along with 655 square feet of contributing roof area for a total of 803 square feet. Based on this effective roof area, a 3" roof drain is required by Table 1-1, UPC 2006. The minimum required scupper width will be approximately 9.4", not 8" as specified on sheet S-2. Reference: Section 1101.11.2.1, UPC 2006. |
